Every month ENGAJ and JYA host a welcoming, casual happy hour around Silicon Valley for a fun and social meetup among young Jewish adults (20s and 30s). We'll provided pitchers of a selection of beers, plus snacks! Join us at Fuego in Sunnyvale on May 14!
In celebration of mother's day, ENGAJ is hosting an extra special mah jongg workshop. Jewish young adults interested in learning American-style mah jongg, or are already familiar with the game, come play, and bring your mom or bubbe too! (We follow the National Mah Jongg League rule book).
Come schmooze at 10:30am at the JCC Cafe and enjoy coffee, juice, mimosas, and breakfast pastries. (Gluten-free muffins as well) At 11am, we'll get the tiles moving with a beginner's lesson. Intermediate/advanced players can begin playing as well.
We'll provide up to 4 Mah Jongg cards and one set. If you have your own card and set, we encourage you to bring yours as well. Everyone gets to take a home a special treat!
General tickets are $10. Moms get a comp ticket!
It's time to taste and VOTE on the BEST hummus in the Bay! Join us on May 4 from noon to 2pm at the OFJCC's community Yom Ha'atzmaut celebration--and bring your favorite hummus!
You'll get to taste a variety of store-bought and home-made hummus recipes, and vote on your favorites. There will be amazing prizes for the winner of the homemade hummus category.
We'll also enjoy Israeli beer and wine provided by INTRO and Valley Bank.

Shavuot begins on June 1, and to celebrate, let's make mini cheesecakes! Not just any cheesecakes---s'mores ones! (Kosher marshmallows and gluten-free graham crackers will be available). We'll gather together at the Oshman Family JCC Nourish Cafe. While our mini cheesecakes cool in the fridge, we'll get a chance to learn some torah together!
